Job Summary
This position is located at Support Services Division. It involves expediting the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facilities through a variety of trades and crafts.
Responsibilities
- Performs carpentry, painting, laboring work, and other related tasks.
- Carry, lift, and hold materials using appropriate equipment.
- Use ladders and scaffolding to access high areas.
- Nails boards and replaces faucet washers, light bulbs, and fuses.
- Un-stops sinks and toilets, hangs electrical fixtures, and repairs screens, storm sashes, and furniture.
- Moves furniture or refinishes its appearance.
- Performs grounds maintenance and repairs, including patching and painting walls.
- Applies sealing compounds and primers and smooths rough edges.
- Cuts grass, plants, trims hedges, trees, and shrubbery.
- Dumps trash, waters plants, sweeps walkways, and shovels snow.
- Operates a motor vehicle (1/2 Ton to 1 Ton) to transport materials and personnel.
Requirements

- Valid driver's license if required to operate a vehicle.
