US Building Survey, Inc. is looking for contract Architectural Revit/CAD Technicians. These candidates are individuals who can read on-site field notes from architectural building surveyors and create accurate building floor plans and elevations utilizing that information.
Candidates should have a general knowledge of building construction, the ability to read construction documents and have experience using Revit. Communication with team members is critical in delivering complete and accurate survey documents within scheduled project deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Create 2D building plans and elevations using Revit 2024.
- Read and understand on-site field notes from building surveyors and create accurate building floor plans and elevations, utilizing that information.
- Coordinate the accuracy of information with on-site building surveyors. (via phone, text, email).
- Other duties as assigned to produce quality deliverable documents.
Requirements (Technical):
- Associate Degree. (Required)
- Experience using Revit 2024 (…or later): 5 years (Required)
- Minimum of (5) years post-graduate experience working in an architecture firm, design/build firm, and/or similar organization.
- Own a fully functional desktop or laptop computer running Revit 2024. (…or later)
- Own a printer and/or have the ability to print documents. (…strongly encouraged)
- Familiarity with annotating PDF drawings. (i.e. PDF Expert or Adobe Acrobat Pro DC)
- Possess the ability to work independently (remotely) while managing deadlines.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Possess a strong communications skill, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrate proven experience using collaboration platforms, apps, and a variety of software. (i.e. DropBox, Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, etc.)
Compensation:
- This position is only available on an “Independent Contractor” basis. Hourly wages range between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour and will be based upon documented experience, speed/accuracy of Revit use, and proven abilities.
- Approved candidates will be issued a Form 1099-MISC by January 31 of the following year for tax purposes.
