- Responsible for daily leadership and coaching the team to solve problems and provide solutions to meet key performance indicators.
- Manage projects from initiating, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing phases.
- Maintain project margin and lead time execution.
- For larger projects run a professional kickoff and weekly meetings with customers.
- Escalate issues to the direct manager and sales manager as required.
- Assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project on time, with the highest quality, and lowest cost.
- Verify project estimate for completeness with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and all contract documents.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage activities involved in purchasing Buyout materials, products, and services to meet customer requirements on time.
- Monitor manufacturing efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with customer’s design, budget, and schedule.
- Manage change orders from customer to ensure specifications are met on time at cost.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction/manufacturing methods as required.
- Create a schedule of values (SOV) for each deliverable item.
- Create Packing Lists for each shipment on projects.
- Support and follow all safety practices.
- Reconcile invoicing issues with Accounts Payable.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by direct manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of “hands-on” Project Management experience within a Manufacturing environment.
- Must have professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management Training and PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience with storefront and curtain wall systems.
- Ability to read architectural blueprints and specifications is required.
- Knowledge of door hardware packages is a plus.
- 2-4 years of Planning experience.
- ERP systems experience. Sage 300 knowledge a plus.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products, Excel is a must.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
