Position Overview:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Events team is seeking a seasoned senior producer to lead and enhance a diverse portfolio of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events tailored for a diverse range of high-level business audiences.
The producer will collaborate with internal partners and events colleagues to conceptualize and create innovative, strategic event programs and content across various topics. From the initial idea to execution, you will establish a clear event vision, design engaging programs, select and book speakers, and work closely with colleagues on all creative aspects.
You will collaborate with policy teams and junior producers to bring these visions to life, ensuring impactful and memorable experiences that will move the needle forward on key Chamber priorities.
Responsibilities:
Curate a program agenda and show flow that aligns with the event objectives.
Work with internal partners to support the development of an on-stage visual and multimedia strategy that enhances and reinforces the program narrative.
Proactively lead and oversee the content development process for each event, managing a detailed production workbook and workback schedule to ensure that all elements are completed and delivered on time.
Implement best-in-class techniques and creativity to produce all aspects of
on-stage segments or experiential editorial elements from start to finish.
Oversee the management and preparation of VIP speakers, including drafting briefing materials, acting as the primary contact for speaker teams, and writing and approving promotional content.
Craft show scripts, create run-of-show documents, and collaborate with A/V and other departments to ensure the seamless execution of each event.
Ensure that on-stage talent is well prepared by collaborating during rehearsals to provide choreography, segment flow guidance, speaker coaching, and support.
Lead on-site management of speakers during assigned events.
Share best practices, insights, and innovative event ideas with Chamber colleagues.
Stay up to date on emerging trends and contribute ideas to enhance the quality of our content and elevate the sophistication of our productions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in broadcast journalism and/or live event content/creative strategy and production.
Creative thinker with sound editorial judgment and the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information, new angles to approach issues, and the organizational skills to bring it all together.
Critical and strategic thinking and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain a consistent work product while juggling multiple simultaneous projects.
A deep understand of programmatic goals, audience profile, sponsor priorities, and Chamber messaging in developing live and virtual event agendas.
Voracious consumer of current events and the newsmakers driving those stories, with an eye to uncovering new voices and trends.
Knowledge of events/broadcast best practices—from scripting to video production.
Superior team leadership and project management skills.
Ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
The salary range for this position is $85,744.00 to $105,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors.
