US Corrections is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates that may have an interest in working as a prisoner transportation officer from our Nashville, TN office. These officers will be responsible for fugitive extradition operations on behalf of law enforcement agencies nationwide. We have immediate opportunities. We travel nationwide transporting fugitives of all classification levels. Do not let the location of the officer deter you from applying. Our trips depart from this location and return around 5-10 days later, meaning you are not commuting to work daily.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
US Corrections is based in Nashville, TN, with regional offices in Texas and Florida. We are the largest provider of prisoner transportation and extradition services in the country and employ more than 150 personnel, including specially trained extradition officers, logistics professionals, mechanics, training staff and trip planners. We operate a fleet of specially modified vehicles and utilize a nationwide ground and air network to move prisoners from coast to coast, Alaska, Hawaii and all U.S. territories.
PAY RATES
- Trainee Status: $185.00 per day (Trainee status is approx. 40 days)
- Officer pay rates start at $210.00 per day
Average total compensation approximation: $46,200.00 to $50,600.00 per year
RETENTION BONUS:
All employees receive a $500.00 bonus at 6 months & a $500.00 bonus at 9 months of continuous employment.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT health card.
- Must have a clean driving record. (Last 5 years)
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.Must be able to complete the Basic Officer Training course. (Should be reasonably fit and able to defend yourself and fight your way off the ground.)
- Must be willing to obtain certifications in chemical agents (OC Spray), shotgun and electronic control devices (Taser).
- Armed (handgun) positions require TN armed security officer license, and you will be required to pass a handgun qualification course.
- Tennessee residents must have, or acquire before training, the “F” passenger endorsement on their TN Driver’s License
This job requires extensive travel nationwide for up to 15 days at a time.
We will be holding assessments at our location 9/14/2021 to 9/16/2021.
Phone interviews can be conducted to obtain this position as well. There will be documents sent via email and need timely return to obtain potential employment.
Our training academy will start on September 20, 2021. This will be a 2 week classroom training.
You may be placed in a company provided hotel if you live 1.5 hours or more away from training location during the classroom portion of training only.
