Attorney Advisor

The ideal candidate must have strong writing and communication skills; the ability to collaborate with OCC colleagues and personnel from all divisions across FEMA; and the ability to work independently. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following : Providing oral and written advice, analysis, interpretations, and guidance on complex and sensitive legal and policy matters.Drafting and reviewing documents for consistency with all applicable legal authorities and requirements, to include : analysis and advice, directives and other internal policies and procedures, correspondence, reports, memoranda, testimony, regulations, legislation, agreements, and other such documents.To qualify for this Attorney Advisor position at the IC-14 level, you must possess at least three (3) years of full-time, legal experience gained after being admitted to the bar, at least two of which entailed specialized experience, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. At least one of your two years of specialized experience must be at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the IC-13 level.
