As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will be an integral part of our Specialty Care service line, working within a Whole Health System of care to empower Veterans to take charge of their health and live their lives to the fullest. Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver innovative solutions in cardiology care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of Veterans' cardiovascular health.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in coordination with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Manage and monitor medication regimens, providing education and counseling to Veterans and their families.
- Lead impactful projects that directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional cardiac care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally recognized certifying body.
- Experience in cardiology valued, but not required.
NP Salary and Benefits
The nurse practitioner salary is $116,040 - $160,629 per year for this position, and is determined through a formal pay-setting process, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
- Annual Salary Increases: 2% federal, 2% local, and promotional (on average)
