Primary Care: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
The VA Midwest Health Care Network is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse to join our Primary Care team. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional, Whole Health-focused care to America's Veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient examinations and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice
- Conduct patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in a team-based care model
- Utilize electronic health records for documentation and care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Advanced Practice Nursing
- Current licensure
