Provides sterile instruments and linens utilizing safety standards in accordance with practice protocol, policy and procedure, professional standards and state regulation.

Responsibilities

Major Areas of Responsibility / Essential Function
I. Instruments
A. Cleans and sterilizes all instruments and related equipment daily. Stamps with date.
B. Maintains inventory of all office instruments.
C. Removes all instruments from exam rooms and maintains cleanliness of instrument containers.
D. Checks instrument integrity and communicates with TL when instruments need to be repaired.
II. Sterilizers
A. Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance requirements of all sterilizers.
B. Loads and unloads all sterilizers daily.
C. Maintains Autoclave Binder including Daily Run Log and Biological Indicator testing
III. Linens
A. Provides laundering to soiled linens daily.
B. Folds clean linens daily.
IV. Clinical Space Maintenance
A. Maintains cleanliness of sterilization areas in the MOB and ASC; maintains cleanliness in scrub area in the ASC
including mopping floors when needed and removing trash.
V. Supplies
A. Keeps clean and organized all supply and instrument work spaces.
B. Keeps list of all supplies that need to be ordered and present to TL. Puts supplies away when received and maintains
organized supply room.
VI. Safety
A. Communicates with Team Lead and Practice Manager any safety issues pertaining to the job.
B. Wears protective attire as per protocol and policy of Henghold Dermatology.
C. Provide autoclave training to new hires and complete competency check-list.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma
Key Competencies Required :
1. Able to work independently.

1. Good manual dexterity skills.
