Job Summary:
US Display Group, Inc., a premier manufacturer of Point of Purchase displays. The Production Supervisor will supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality and customer expectations.
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for the implementation and administration of all Production policies and safe practices, ultimately achieving high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations while leading and developing the teams to provide excellent customer service to our customers.
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct daily safety tailgate meetings to include safety topic printouts and sign-in sheet.

Prints, directs, inspects, and verifies daily Preventative Maintenance as scheduled per the calendar to include detailed operator and maintenance checklist.

Tracks, reports, and communicates all attendance and employee timecard issues.
-
Verifies preparation of machine line ups and tooling checklists to prepare ALL materials ahead of time.

Audits proper material locations to confirm accuracy of inventory control system – 3pl

Manages cleanliness in the workplace by applying 5s in the workplace – a place for everything and everything in its place to include visual workplace techniques.

Follows daily task list to help achieve all areas of responsibility every day and limit carry over from one day to the next

Responds to emails in a timely manner – within the hour.

Uses the flag feature in outlook to set important reminders that will trigger follow up, follow through and completion.

Assist in developing and driving production to meet safety, quality, and productions goals.
-
Delegate tasks to Pack Out and Fulfillment teams.
-
Review performance of floor/ temp members.
-
Consistent communication with all departments for shipments, direct flow of material from shipping floor to trucks, Customer Service and Sales

Assist in warehousing and inventory control.
-
Plan and prepare for future needs, ordering necessary supplies, etc.
-
Engineer special jigs, fixtures, line setup for orders, and gluing as required.
-
Read and interpret production specs with accurate completion of daily production reports.
-
Observes, analyzes, researches, and maintains packaging line operations to help develop and implement efficient processes by performing basic quality test checks and time studies.

Assist in resolving reported errors and initiate efforts to prevent reoccurrence by addressing the root cause.

Participate in Management Reviews of the Quality System in Fulfillment Manager's absence.

Track and review worked hours including overtime and attendance reviews for USDG and temporary support staff.

Train new hires and existing employees on processes and procedures in assembly, packaging, and production, as needed.

Daily reconciliation of production reports for completion and accuracy prior to turning them into scheduling

Enter daily production data into spreadsheet.

Assist in packaging schedules for shift operation as needed.
-
Partner with Fulfillment Manager to provide coaching, counseling, and discipline as necessary.
Secondary Responsibilities:

Assist in training new personnel as needed.

Perform receiving inspection on incoming products, when needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles

Time and project management skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Keen attention to detail
-
Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.

In-depth understanding of company standards
-
Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.

Preferred Bilingual Spanish

Preferred experience with WMS/ HRIS/ Amtech
Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills. Knowledgeable in key tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Data entry programs.
