Job Title: Millwright/Rigger

Salary: $28-$30 hourly, $110 daily per diem when traveling
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright/Rigger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and dismantling industrial machinery and equipment. This role involves precision alignment, mechanical troubleshooting, and safe rigging of heavy components to ensure smooth operation in various industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, construction sites, and warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, align, dismantle, and relocate industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use hoists, cranes, jacks, and rigging equipment to lift and position heavy machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems.
- Operate power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments to adjust and secure machinery.
- Align gears, shafts, bearings, and motors using dial indicators and laser alignment tools.
- Fabricate and modify machine parts as needed using cutting, grinding, and welding techniques.
- Follow all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and confined space procedures.
- Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain detailed service records and reports on equipment status and repairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification in millwrighting, welding, or rigging preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Millwright, Rigger, or related industrial trade.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and machine manuals.
- Experience with forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and safety compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman Millwright or NCCCO Rigger Certification.
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick) is a plus.
