What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at US Equestrian Fed?
As an intern with United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our mission: To provide access to and increase participation in equestrian sports at all levels by ensuring fairness, safety, and enjoyment. This is a paid part-time summer internship, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. This position will also provide administrative support to the department for which they are assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Filing, copying, scanning correspondence.
- Preparing packets and mailings.
- Interact with senior management, coaches, volunteer committees and staff.
- Handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality is a primary requirement of this position, so this individual is responsible for complying with the US Equestrian Document Destruction and Retention Policy.
- Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
- Special projects and other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Exceptional member service is provided, and member relationships are enhanced.
- Communication with members and staff is effective and professional.
- Relationships with Directors and other staff are productive and promote a positive team environment.
- Assistance is provided to other department members when needed.
- Other general office tasks.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Clerical or customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. (Anything over 25 pounds requires a two-person lift)
