What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sport Operations Manager position at US Equestrian Fed?
Under general direction of the Managing Director of Sport Logistics & Non-Olympic Disciplines, the Sport Operations Manager will be responsible for managing assigned projects and programs in support of the sport including growing the pathway at all levels, developing programs and liaising with organizers, officials, and athletes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Working a flexible schedule with frequent night/weekend work and travel nationally with the potential for international travel at times
- Developing and delivering, in partnership with other USEF staff, membership initiatives, and the promotion and growth of the sport, as well as the Combined Driving athlete pathway programs
- Serve as the liaison to the Combined Driving Sport Committee, its working groups, and providing administrative support to other Committees as necessary
- Manage the Developing Driver Program which includes the organization of training sessions/clinics
• Facilitating the Combined Driving Year-End Award programs
• Facilitating the Combined Driving grant programs
• Working with other internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate the Combined Driving FEI Calendar process
• Coordinating with Organizers on multiple Combined Driving National Championships each year
• Facilitating and maintaining effective communication within the discipline community, including sport newsletters and announcements
• Operating the Endurance timing system at competitions as assigned
• Staying abreast of issues concerning the sport nationally and internationally
• Providing logistical support to the U.S. Teams at World Championships and other major competitions as assigned
• Performing other duties/projects as assigned by the Managing Director of Sport Logistics and Non-Olympic Disciplines

Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Some college preferred.
• Experience in the equestrian sport industry or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent travel
• Extended hours of availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. (25 pounds or more requires a two-person lift)
