US Farathane is seeking an Automation Setter on 3rd Shift.
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion andcompression technologies.
As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining automated systems to optimize production processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Connect and disconnect the secondary equipment correctly (Power, Air, communication connections) to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Move the secondary equipment from storage to the corresponding press and return it after every finish run.
Check list machine and set it for every run.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to PLC programming and automation equipment (i.e. Perform minor sensor adjustments).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all automation processes.
Report Automation department when any tool pack or secondary has an issue.
Organize the current tool package and main frames.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Forklift certification
Data entry, computer skills
Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100lbs
Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in automation setup
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to ensure proper product quality
Verbal communication skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
