US Farathane is seeking an experienced Lean/CI Manager. This position is directly responsible for improving / validating the effectiveness of production, and transformation processes as it relates to quality results. It is responsible for: designing and implementing systems and processes to ensure process effectiveness and documentation accuracy to meet both internal and customer requirements and maintain IATF16949 certification.
This position is also the Champion of the Plant’s Continuous Improvement system, including assisting the plant organization in cost improvements, manufacturing process improvements, and targeted deployment of Lean tools. Particular emphasis placed on systems design, waste control, controllable costs, inventory, and productivity objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead plant CI initiatives to drive improved OEE, reduced cost and manufacturing complexity.
- Lead and train on the deployment of Lean techniques and tools to reduce lead time, increase productivity and reduce unit cost; optimize raw material and finished goods working capital requirements while driving world class on-time service to customers.
- In concert with the quality team, monitor, evaluate and ensure proper corrective actions on identified issues. Utilize problem solving techniques to ensure that solutions are both implemented and verified for effectiveness.
- Ensure the retention of proper plans, records, and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the site.
- In concert with the quality and engineering teams, drive strict adherence to the APQP process; actively support product launch initiatives.
- Drive standard work and process improvement; adopt and institute agreed upon standard work practices throughout the facility.
- In concert with the Quality team, establish, maintain, and expand systematic problem-solving and Lean skill sets of plant personnel.
- Develop and promote a team environment. Participate in the development and implementation of systems for continuous improvement.
- Use problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
- Lead, facilitate, and/or serve on functional, plant, and CI teams.

- B.S. Degree in a Technical Field; engineering preferred.
- Proven track record of implementing LEAN systems; deep knowledge of the LEAN tools.
- Must have advanced analytical and decision-making skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of analytical tools and techniques to analyze data, train others and participate in teams and find solutions to problems. Demonstrated skill sets in: APQP, FMEA/CP, MSA, 8D/CAPA, SPC, Lean Processes, etc. ASQ CQE and/or CMQ/OE preferred.
- Must have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good written communication skill to effectively develop policies and instructional material, report on progress, and respond to issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Applications.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in manufacturing and quality processes to design, implement and coordinate quality and manufacturing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO/IATF standards and with tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality management. ASQ CQA or equivalent preferred.
