What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler (Water Spider) 2nd Shift position at US Farathane?
The Water Spider is responsible for the delivery and line clearance of components to and from the production floor and stocking component racks. This position is for 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Removing components from the roller racking system and delivering to the needed machine
- Clearing the machine work cell of partial component boxes that will no longer be used and putting back into roller racking system
- Responsible for keeping roller racking system stocked by taking boxes of pallets and stocking on roller racks
- Responsible for putting bulk stock (pallets) onto the racking system in its appropriate location
- Responsible for cleanliness of area, ensuring floor is swept, damaged containers removed, and parts are in the proper location
- Responsible for daily cycle counts of the racking system and supplying the accurate counts to Materials Manager
- Any other duties assigned by the reporting Supervisor and/or Manager
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plastic Injection Molding background is helpful.
- Ability to work independently with self-direction once initially trained
- Pass a forklift driving test and tugger driving test; certification is required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to learn and use a scanner for part counting
- Ability to learn and use a label maker
