Duties and Responsibilities:
- Start up machines.
- Respond to machine, robot, thermolater, and secondary equipment alarms.
- Ensure optimal efficiency of machines and robots.
- Troubleshoot machine, mold, and material problems.
- Report difficulties or problems requiring special attention to Production Supervisor.
- Complete Process Verification, Tool Reports, and Mistake Proof Check sheets as required.
- Manage die change activities not done by a Die Setter.
- Maintain appearance of Thermolaters, Robot Control Stations, DME units, etc.
- Care for equipment, especially purging management and disposal.
- Develop continuous improvement ideas and suggestions.
- Follow OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
- Follow USF policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Plastic injection molding background with at least three years of experience in plastics processing.
- Experienced in mold set-ups, trouble shooting, maintenance problems, and state-of-the-art controls on machines and robots.
