Duties
- Advises employees and supervisors on complex program policies, training opportunities and availability, eligibility requirements, application procedures, etc. Works with managers to assess trainings needs, research available resources and materials, locate vendors, plan logistics, and select course materials.
- Recommends courses or other types of development, including researching and recommending local universities and colleges for various career growth options, and follows-up on progress.
- Serves as Training Contact for regional management in coordinating the delivery of mandated and career development training. This includes slotting activities, which involves working with program offices in order to determine participant placement in courses to ensure they have the opportunity to meet their training program benchmarks.
- Serves as oversight manager or technical monitor on contracts for CU sponsored courses or events. Manages budgets of these contracts; ensures proper payment and recording of such contracts, including issuance of tax forms to contractors, coordination of payments with CU's Management Analyst, and documenting closure of contracts.
- Counsels employees regarding Professional Learning Account (PLA) funding, including strategies for making the most of available balances and courses deemed appropriate under PLA. Uses government issued purchase card to pay for trainings submitted by employees through the PLA in accordance with FDIC training and purchase card guidelines.

- Knowledge of training resources, equipment, and vendors for purposes of developing or administering employee development programs.
- Ability to communicate orally.
- Ability to communicate in writing to draft emails and other written work products related to employee development.
- Skill in using and applying automated systems and information technology to processes and programs, as well as to navigate a Learning Management System, including editing employee records, researching training information, and generating reports.
- Knowledge of Contracting and Oversight Management policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of policies, principles and practices related to employee training and development.
