This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
We are seeking experienced PRN OR/PACU RN to join our team. The position is located in our facility at 635 Madison Ave. NY, NY with rotation through our Albee Sq. facility in Brooklyn when needed. The schedule is working as needed with weekend and holiday rotations.
Job Type:
Pay Rate is $55 per hour
Part time Weekly schedule working 16 hours biweekly (8 to 10 hours a week):
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend rotations
- Some holidays
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the OR/PACU RN is responsible for:
· Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received IV sedation. conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provide patient education
What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
· Active RN license
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification
- Over 1 year nursing experience and PACU experience is strongly preferred
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
