What are the responsibilities and job description for the PACU RN (Per Diem Weekends) position at US Fertility?

This Per Diem position is located in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in our Westshore, FL office. The schedule will be PRN Weekends with an average of 12-20 hours monthly. The Weekend hours range from 7am-12pm and some Holidays.
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RN is responsible for:
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provide patient education
What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
