We have an immediate opening for a full-time Patient Navigator to join our DC office located on KST. The schedule is working Monday - Friday from 7 am - 4 pm. We provide paid parking. Pay Range: $23 - 26/hour
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Patient Navigator s responsible for:
Responsibilities include:
- Meets with established patients and assists with the coordination of pretreatment requirements in conjunction with physician orders
- Act as a liaison between the patient and the clinical care team
- Guide patients through all aspects of pretreatment requirements, manage patient expectations, and assists in all aspects of helping patients begin their treatment plan
- Provides patient education
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
- Works independently to assure the program goals are achieved
- Support and promote excellence in customer service
What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
- High School diploma; Associates degree preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
- Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
