What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Monitor Specialist position at US Heart & Vascular?
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at PIMA Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ
Summary: Perform cardiac device interrogations, both remotely and in-office, interpret for the physician, and troubleshoot if required.
Responsibilities:
- Operates implantable device programmers from all companies
- Interview patients, interrogate devices, interpret and document diagnostics on a flow sheet
- Remote monitor patients’ devices by logging in daily, receive event alerts and summary reports
- Inform/alert the physician to any therapy or pertinent events in a timely manner.
- Contact patients to answer questions or troubleshoot home monitoring connections when disconnected
- Schedule patients into the device clinic as required
- Stay informed about new cardiac devices and algorithms available
- Report device malfunction’s, codes, and advisories to technical services
- Travel required
- Other related duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices from all companies, cardiac anatomy, and physiology
- Basic pharmacology, specifically anticoagulants and antiarrhythmics
- Interpretation of diagnostics, EKG’s and EGM’s
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Cardiac Experience
