US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at Fort Worth Heart in Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiac device interrogations, both remotely and in-office,
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using specialized equipment
  • Identify and report any irregularities or significant changes in patients' heart patterns.
  • Communicate findings to the healthcare team, including physicians in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to monitoring equipment.
  • Provide support during emergency situations by promptly recognizing life-threatening conditions.
  • Educate patients about the monitoring process and address any concerns they may have.
  • Schedule patients into the device clinic.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest monitoring techniques
  • Work closely with cardiologists and other medical staff to ensure effective communication and patient care coordination.
  • Occasional travel to different clinic locations as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certification as a Cardiac Monitor Technician or EKG Technician.
  • Proficiency in using cardiac monitoring equipment
  • Basic understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to interpret and record EKG rhythms.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical billing, and coding practices.
