US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at Fort Worth Heart in Fort Worth, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac device interrogations, both remotely and in-office,
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using specialized equipment
- Identify and report any irregularities or significant changes in patients' heart patterns.
- Communicate findings to the healthcare team, including physicians in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to monitoring equipment.
- Provide support during emergency situations by promptly recognizing life-threatening conditions.
- Educate patients about the monitoring process and address any concerns they may have.
- Schedule patients into the device clinic.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest monitoring techniques
- Work closely with cardiologists and other medical staff to ensure effective communication and patient care coordination.
- Occasional travel to different clinic locations as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification as a Cardiac Monitor Technician or EKG Technician.
- Proficiency in using cardiac monitoring equipment
- Basic understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Ability to interpret and record EKG rhythms.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical billing, and coding practices.
