What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk position at US Heart & Vascular?
Us Heart and Vascular is in need of a Front Desk Receptionist to join Orion Medical in the Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Confirming next day appt’s with location, copay, balance (if applicable) and Stress/Doppler appointments.
- Calling patients for any inactive/need attention/oon appt’s
- Verifying insurance/benefits for Stress/Dopplers and appointments
- Sending radiology orders to Imaging fac/Hospital
- Obtain auth for Stress/Dopplers/Hospital testing
- Schedule Peer to Peer if necessary for denied cases
- Scheduling appts (NP/follow up/Stress/PET Scan/Dopplers/Hospital testing/Outgoing Referrals)
- Complete FAX Inbox and Telephone Encounters
- Keep up with pending Referrals/ Call PCP to request referral/ Make patient aware of ref required
- Scan daily documents into charts including all EKG’s
- Send out Cardiac Clearance’s and all requested Medical Records
- Checking IN/OUT and rooming patients (when necessary)
- Complete NST Schedule for Quentin (Wednesday’s)
- Print out Scheduling Forms for next day
- Obtaining labs report for Dr (Quest portal) Give test results over the phone/ Per Dr
- Travel between 2 locations
- Any other front desk tasks that the practice needs help with
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 2 years of front desk experience is preferred
