US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Office Based Lab Manager to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham AL.

Responsibilities:
- You will develop and implement effective, ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess, and improve the quality of care delivered to patients, working toward clinic-wide improvement in meeting core measures, patient safety, and service excellence goals.
- You will have responsibility and accountability for the total OBL department.
- You will ensure the provision of quality services by maintaining appropriate resources, staffing levels, staff competency, maintenance, and performance of equipment, instrumentation, physical space, and training and education of staff.
- You will ensure the department contributes to the continuity of care through demonstrated use of an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. In addition, you will collaborate and share pertinent patient information with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, treatment, and discharge planning.
- You will apply the principles of continuous quality improvement to measure, monitor, and assess the effectiveness and potential adverse effects of care as a mechanism to optimize improvement in patient outcomes and prevent patient injury.
Requirements:
- Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred (ARRT); Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardio-Vascular Tech (RCVT) may be accepted in lieu of RT
- BLS required
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in angiography, Interventional Radiology, and/or cardiac cath.
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions,
- Project planning and Management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs
