US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham, AL
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
- Help physicians examine and treat patients
- Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Operate electrocardiogram (EKG), or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
- Documenting/Recording Information
- Maintain medical records
- May help in other departments such as call center or diagnostics
- Off day may differ week to week, this position is 4 X 10 Monda thru Friday Shifts.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Nexgen EHR is preferred but not required
