Job Summary

US Hybrid is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Downey, CA.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient, high-quality designs that meet client specifications and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in product lifecycle management (PLM), CAD tools, mechanical analysis, and have a solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret project requirements and collaborate with engineers to develop mechanical designs.
  • Create, evaluate, and refine prototypes of mechanical systems.
  • Develop detailed CAD drawings, models, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve design challenges and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Perform physical testing and validation of prototypes and final designs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Present design concepts and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Apply principles of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D modeling tools.
  • Experience with PLM systems, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of market needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.


Work Environment

  • Primary work setting is an office environment.
  • On-site presence required for activities including software/hardware integration, prototyping, and validation.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Compensation
