Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the overall operations and financial results of the Collision Center, including but not limited to operations, internal and external development, business relationships, and profitability.S / he will develop and execute strategic business plans, ensuring sustainable profitability and continued growth.
- Oversee daily operations of the auto body shop, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain operational systems, processes, and best practices to meet business goals.
- Manage the scheduling and coordination of repair jobs to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and manage staff, including technicians, estimators, and administrative personnel.Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and address any staffing challenges.Financial Management
Prepare and manage budgets, including cost control, expense tracking, and revenue targets.Analyze financial performance and develop strategies to maximize profitability.Collaborate with the ownership team to forecast growth and set long-term goals.Customer Relations
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and maintaining high satisfaction levels.Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty.Oversee and resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.Business Development
Build and maintain relationships with DRP partners, insurance companies, and suppliers.Drive marketing and promotional initiatives to attract new customers.Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to the automotive repair industry.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment for staff and customers.Oversee the adherence to quality assurance and safety protocols.Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent / College degree in a related field highly preferredFive years minimum experience managing operations of a Certified Collision CenterProven record of success with sustaining profitability and market growthAbility to manage operational budgets and meet financial targets.Working knowledge of CCC One estimating platform and management systemWorking knowledge of autobody repair methodsExcellent communication and managerial skillsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PPTValid in-state Driver's license and clean driving record
