The Cross-Ply Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Cross-Ply machines to produce high-quality plastic products according to specifications. The operator ensures the efficient and safe operation of the Cross-Ply line, performs quality checks, and troubleshoots any issues that arise during the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up and adjust Cross-Ply machines according to production specifications.
- Operate Cross-Ply machines to produce plastic products, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Monitor machine parameters and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the products.
- Document quality control checks and maintains accurate records.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on Cross-Ply machines to ensure they operate efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Report major equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team for repair.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies and regulations, including those related to health and safety.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production logs and records.
- Complete shift reports detailing production output, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any concerns.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Provide suggestions for process improvements and implement approved changes.
Evening shift : 3pm-11pm with a $1.50 differential - 2 positions available
Night shift: 11pm-7am with a $1.00 differential - 1 position available
