Maintenance Technician II

All Shifts Available

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery in a fast-paced, high-production environment. This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure minimal downtime and smooth operations. The Maintenance Technician II will also assist in preventive maintenance programs and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Preventive Maintenance : Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functioning and prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair : Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing equipment.
  • Equipment Installation : Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring correct setup and operation.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Emergency Repairs : Respond to equipment malfunctions promptly, minimizing production downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement : Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with operators, engineers, and other departments to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Tool & Equipment Management : Properly maintain tools and equipment used for repairs and maintenance, ensuring that all tools are in good working condition.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Experience : At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, with expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge : Solid understanding of industrial maintenance procedures and safety standards.
  • Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Preferred Skills / Certifications :

  • PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.
  • Experience with CNC machines, motors, and drives.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and various chemicals.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
