What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at US Main?
We are looking for an effective and organized Plant Manager in the Fort Wayne area. In this position you will direct, manage, and coordinate the daily operations of the manufacturing plant to always ensure high performance and production. Requirements : A college degree or continuing education studies are desirable with an emphasis in Engineering, Manufacturing and / or Management. Significant background in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement 5 years supervisory management experience with P&L ownership. What You’ll Do : Responsible for all facility safety programs and adherence. Deliver strong quality standards to meet customer specifications and ensure delivery times are met. Working directly with customers as needed. Direct overall day-to-day manufacturing operations. Ensure the daily production team has the proper tools and equipment needed. Responsible for maintaining KPI metrics and production output goals. Creation or improvement of metrics to meet immediate and future demand. Develops and implements manufacturing staffing plans based upon scheduled and projected production requirements. Implement continuous improvement programs for manufacturing. Develop and recommend proper training for new employees and continuous training for current employees. Handle all disciplinary action. Work with leadership to establish pay rates for non-exempt employees. Periodically selects and participates in continuing education sessions.
