Classroom Aide

Pay Rate : $23 per / hr.

Schedules vary based on school. Hours span from 8 : 00a-3 : 00p

Summary of the 1 to 1 Classroom Support Aide role :

An individual who provides one-to-one Classroom Support to a student , including support and assistance in the use of medical equipment, for example; augmentative communication devices; activities of daily living; and monitoring health and behavior.

Requirements of the 1 to 1 Classroom Support Aide role :

• Minimum 1 year experience supporting children with special needs (physical, emotional, and mental support to children with special needs)
• High School Diploma
• Valid CPR / First Aid Certification or willing to complete
• Child abuse clearance
• Proof of Physical and PPD, if you have a history of positive PPD you must provide a Chest X-Ray
• Two forms of government issued ID’s (To include s Social Security card)
• Criminal background check to include fingerprinting and central registry clearance.
• FBI Fingerprinting
• Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• If accepted - must complete Safety Care and Relias training prior to start date
