What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Officer position at Us Metro Bank?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Compliance Officer is responsible for day-to-day activities of the bank’s compliance program. Under the direction of the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Officer will ensure that the activities of the bank are adhering to the bank’s policy and regulatory requirements, perform internal reviews of operational activities, and identify compliance problem areas.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Compliance Manager in the adherence of the bank’s Compliance Management System
- Supporting the employees on compliance matters and reviews
- Perform Compliance monitoring and prepare appropriate board reports
- Assist the Compliance Manager in administering the bank wide training program
- Assist on Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) related matters which include tracking, validating, evaluating and organizing CRA data
- Providing solutions/resolutions for compliance issues/findings
- Assist with regulatory/internal audit preparation
- Keep abreast of all compliance/regulatory changes
- Other duties as assigned
- Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training

- Highly motivated and goal oriented
- Well-organized, analytical and capable of performing multiple tasks
- Compliance or branch operations experience highly preferred
- Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a financial institution with Compliance or audit experience
