Responsibilities
Seeking a candidate who will work to fabricate and assemble modular homes at our NEW fabrication facility. You will be engaging in carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. This will provide opportunities to learn as well as develop your existing skills. You will also be tasked with keeping orderly inventory of tools used and reporting any discrepancy or issue with building material. This position is an an "open air" facility where both indoor and outdoor work will be required.
Qualifications
Applicant must be able to multitask at a fast pace, be able to understand the daily tasks associated with the job, and be willing to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Applicant must have reliable transportation. We are a strict drug-free workplace and you must be ready to submit to a drug screening should you apply. This job requires a background check, but being unable to "pass" will not immediately disqualify you for a position with us. We evaluate each candidate and their history on a case-by-case basis.
Skill Set and Industry Experience: Operate forklifts and other handling equipment in a warehouse and yard safely. Forklift certification preferred but not required. Prior experience in the construction and building manufacturing industry required. Carpentry, drywalling, ceramic tiles, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical experience are all a plus.
Strength and Stamina: Demonstrate physical strength to safely lift at least 80 pounds and be able to endure working in an outdoor environment.
Positive Attitude: Embrace challenges with optimism and be able to work effectively in a team as well as listen carefully to instruction.
