Panel/Controls Builder - Job Description
DUTIES:
• Interface with mechanical designers, control engineer and management to identify problem areas and solutions for proper machine operation.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to checkout and debug new & rebuilt presses (will train).
• Assist in field installations of new & rebuilt presses.
• Work with customers to diagnose and correct machine problems onsite or on the telephone.
• Assist with field service.
• Suggest new methods or products to enhance machine quality, safety, or production productivity.
• Have basic tools for mechanical and electrical work.
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
Familiarity with some of the following programming languages.
Allen-Bradley PLC’s:
• PLC-2
o 6200 software
• PLC-5
o 6200 software
o RSLogix-5 software
• SLC-500
o RSLogix-500 software (Primary Software Used)
Allen-Bradley Panel View Operator Interfaces
• Panel View 1000
o PanelBuilder32 software
• Panel View 1200
o PanelBuilder1200 software
• Panel View 1400

• Wiring methods
• Basic Mechanical Aptitude
