Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Lead to join our team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive components and their functions, exhibit above-average computer skills, and possess practical skills in using measurement tools. The role involves ensuring that all automotive products meet our quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of automotive components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters for precise measurement and evaluation of parts.
- Perform leak testing and functional tests, including testing fuel pump pressure and flow, to ensure component integrity and performance.
- Analyze and interpret data from computer-based systems for quality assessment and control.
- Make critical decisions regarding the approval or rejection of components based on thorough analysis and quality standards.
- Document inspection results, maintain accurate records and logs, and effectively communicate findings.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with safety and quality protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive improvements in quality control processes.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail in visual inspections, identifying types of failures and potential defects in components.
- Utilize technical skills in understanding and testing 12V electrical systems.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: AA degree , High school diploma; further education in automotive technology, engineering, or related field is a plus.
- Automotive Knowledge: Solid understanding of automotive components, how they work, and their functions.
- Computer Skills: Above-average proficiency in computer use, including data entry and analysis software. Microsoft Email, excel , power point
- Measurement Skills: Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters.
- Technical Skills: Basic electrical knowledge, particularly in reading and understanding 12V systems.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality standards.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Experience with specific automotive equipment or systems relevant to the company's products (e.g., engine performance testing, Cooling system , fuel system)
- Knowledge of basic automotive troubleshooting principles.
- Understanding of different manufacturing processes used in the automotive industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Quality Management:
- Familiarity with relevant quality management systems like ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.
- Experience with conducting root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues.
- Knowledge of failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) CAR
Communication and Collaboration:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, operations).
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills to communicate inspection findings and quality data.
- Experience with problem-solving and conflict resolution.
