Your role in helping us shape the future :

U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. U.S. News & World Report is looking for a full time, paid, summer Data Research Intern. In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to obtain and analyze data sources.

Are you up to the challenge?

Assist in the research of new data sources and providers
Assist in the recording of internal data processes and procedures
Assist in the cleaning of existing internal data sets
Assist in the analysis and QA of certain data sets

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

Eligible candidates must be one of the following :

Part-time or full-time students who have completed 48 credit hours (rising juniors / seniors and graduate students) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university

Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university

Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace

Effective communicator in both written and spoken English

Good oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite and Google Docs

3.0 GPA or above preferred

Preferred Qualifications :

Proficiency in analysis and modeling in RExperience in data wrangling in Python

Experience in extracting actionable insights from Google Analytics

Interests in NLP and product analytics

Summer Intern Program Description :

10 weeks; starting on Monday, June 2 through Friday, Aug 8, 2025

We expect interns to work 37.5 hours / week, Monday- Friday

All candidates must be able to work a hybrid in-office work schedule from our Washington, DC or New York offices.

Internship pays $17.50 per hour
