US-Offsite is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Quality Assurance & Logistics Manager professional to join our team. This role involves overseeing both quality assurance processes and logistics coordination for modular units. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspections, coordinating with state inspectors, managing paperwork, and handling logistics such as transportation and storage. The position requires hands-on involvement, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections of modular units multiple times daily to ensure quality and compliance with building codes and company standards in practices such as but not limited to framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, sprinklers, paint, etc.
- Document and report any issues or defects during the inspection process.
- Coordinate and meet with state inspectors who visit the site weekly to ensure all modular units meet state regulations and building standards.
- Address any compliance issues or concerns that arise during inspections.
- Handle necessary paperwork related to quality assurance, including purchasing labels, monthly label reporting, and filing for changes on modular plans.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner to regulatory bodies and internal teams.
- Oversee logistics for transporting modular units from the factory to the storage facility including pulling permits, scheduling truck drivers, and staging using best practices.
- Manage the storage and coordination of modular units at the storage facility, ensuring safety and proper handling.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to align logistical needs with project timelines and stability requirements.
- Collaborate with the design manager to discuss design changes or standards that need to be changed for individual projects
- Create systems and processes to better document and improve the quality of the product, ensuring client receives a quality product.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must be local and able to be on-site daily for inspections and coordination.
Education requirements
- Proven experience in quality assurance, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction trades including but not limited to framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler, insulation, drywall, carpentry, etc.
- Ability to study and research codes to ensure proper installation
General Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary and work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Daily responsibilities include repetitive motions, such as typing, that may involve wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Strong and proficient interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal ie: email, or in-person.
