Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimating and management, with a strong ability to analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates. The Chief Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process, ensuring that all estimates align with company standards and project specifications. This position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to streamline the estimation process.
• Conduct cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive bids.
• Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, highlighting key aspects of the project.
• Monitor construction site activities to gather data for future estimates and improve accuracy.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
