Job Summary:
U.S. Pavement Services is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Team. The Ideal candidate wiill have a strong background in diagonsing and repairing heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including tractors, trailers, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Execute brake repairs and vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for inventory management.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on equipment in the shop or field
Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

- Proven experience in heavy equipment repair or related
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance is preferred
- Experience with brake repair and general vehicle maintenance is essential
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Experience with pavers, skid steers, heavy and light duty trucks preferrd
