What are the responsibilities and job description for the Origination Specialist position at US Physical Therapy?
The Origination Specialist serves as the first point of contact for all incoming referrals including calls from patients and referral sources. He or she will handle this initial contact with grace and swiftness using a smiling phone voice. He or she must be wellversed in all services provided by Rehab Associates clinics historical trends in insurances direct access regulations local referral sources the Rehab Associates registration process FOTO and the Rehab Associates website. He or she will follow a tightly outlined script to maximize patient and / or referral coordinator confidence with the call. The ultimate goal is to get the right patient with the right therapist at the right time.
- Greet callers consistently in a friendly courteous and professional manner and attend to the needs of each patient with a sense of urgency.
- Track incoming referrals and schedule new patient visits with a sense of urgency and accuracy with a goal of 75 of all new patients scheduled via the Origination Specialists at the Business Center.
- Effectively schedule patients in Theraoffice following the Rehab Associates parameters for appointment type and scheduling templates.
- Quickly answer the phone in a friendly manner and assist patients who leave voicemails in a timely fashion.
- Maintain the privacy of patients both within the clinic and outside of work following HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in quarterly meetings as scheduled by supervisors.
