Job Title: Customer Service/Postal Clerk
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service/Postal Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and promoting postal products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sales and customer service support by greeting customers and explaining store layout.
- Offer assistance in product selection and provide lobby assistance, including monitoring the retail line, directing customers to the self-service kiosk (SSK), and using Mobile Point of Service (mPOS) to complete transactions.
- Process customer purchases and returns relating to products and services, and may use a point of sale system to assist customers with transactions.
- Inform customers regarding special offers and suggestively sell merchandise based on customer needs.
- Promote products based on customer needs and handle and process customer claims and inquiries.
- Issue and cash foreign and domestic postal money orders and accept and deliver packages and accountable mail using a computerized system.
- Accept and respond to customer claims and inquiries, and provide information to the public regarding postal regulations.

Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and operating a point of sale system.
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
