Job Title: Rural Carrier Associate
At US Postal Service, you will play a vital role in delivering essential services to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and collect mail along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
- Provide customers on the route with a variety of services, including mail sorting and receipt processing.
- Sort mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route and receive accountable mail.
- Load mail in vehicle and deliver it to customers on a regular schedule.
- Collect monies and receipts for accountable mail and pick up mail from roadside boxes.
- Return mail collected, undelivered mail, and submit monies and receipts to the post office.
- Prepare mail for forwarding and maintain records of change of address information.
- Prepare a daily trip report and maintain a list of customers on the route.
- Conduct special surveys when required and ensure mail security at all times.
