Sr Traction Power Engineer
Summary
Sr Traction Power Engineer is vital to US Rail Systems delivering its technical services to clients. This position reports to the Director of Traction Power. This role will deliver technical services on several projects in US Rail Systems portfolio as well assist the executive leadership team with the implementation of the Traction Power business function. This role will participate in strategic business planning, monthly reporting and business development processes. This role may have direct reports. Role and responsibilities :
- Deliver Traction Power technical services on behalf of US Rail Systems to clients within your portfolio ensuring the service you and US Rail Systems delivers to its customers is always professional, technically excellent and exceeds clients’ expectations.
- Assist clients with all aspects of Traction Power including but not limited to technical oversight, planning (Maintenance & Construction), Standards implementations and adherence, training and competence management, RAMS and innovation.
- Be an innovation leader, keeping abreast of all technological advances in the field of Traction Power engineering. Highlighting these to the wider US Rail Systems team and clients where appropriate.
- Participate in and deliver US Rail Systems team briefs, safety briefs and innovation meetings where required.
- Participate in and help deliver the Traction Power elements of business proposals the company is pursuing, assisting where necessary with technical writing, organizational structure planning, cost estimates and solution development.
- Help the executive team to plan and deliver resources for the Traction Power business function. Assisting them with the analysis of the work bank and the hiring of the best people at the right time for the business.
- Manage your direct reports which will include junior Traction Power engineers, inspectors and Traction Power trainees to ensure they maintain excellent performance and are happy within their role.
- Train and mentor young apprentices and junior staff members to ensure they are gaining the correct experience to develop in their profession and are ready and able to graduate from the apprenticeship program.

We’re looking for a expert professional to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $190,00.000 - $220,000.00 annually (bashed upon on the individual's technical and leadership ability), outstanding benefits including a 401(k), full medical coverage paid by the employer, company vehicle, 15 days of paid company time off and 7 company holidays and more.
