Security Officer

Job Overview:

Second shift 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. This position requires strong conflict management skills, knowledge of security protocols, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and granting or denying entry
- Conduct regular inspections to check for any signs of unauthorized activity or safety hazards
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems (CCTV) is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Excellent attention to detail and observation skills

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
