Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Armed School Police Officer to help ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff at Boyertown School District. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in law enforcement while contributing to a positive, secure school environment. You'll have the chance to learn on the job while performing vital duties such as patrolling school grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency response protocols.
Shift: Monday through Friday | 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM | Work 2 to 4 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol school facilities to prevent illegal actions, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring a quick, professional response to keep everyone safe.
- Perform duties both in uniform or plainclothes based on assignment and needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, local authorities, and emergency responders to maintain a secure environment.
- Provide support in maintaining discipline and safety during school hours and events.

Required Qualifications/Certifications
- Valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
- PA Lethal Weapons Training Act Certification (ACT 235).
- PA Police Academy Training Certification (ACT 120)
- Prior experience as a Municipal, State, Federal, or Military Police Officer (MP or MA).
- Weapons qualification required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement experience.
- Current Act 34 and FBI Clearances as required by Pennsylvania law and any other necessary clearances.
