What you'll do :

The Solution Architect is responsible for providing pre-sales technical advisement to sales teams, prospective customers, and existing customers while driving to meet or exceed US Signal revenue targets. This dynamic and technical individual will support the sales of cloud computing / hosting, colocation, WAN / SD-WAN, data protection, and cybersecurity services provided by US Signal. This is an outside sales-focused role in direct support of 3-5 Account Executives. The Solution Architect is required to drive new business and revenue by taking ownership and responsibility for the creation, positioning, and articulation of the strategy or solution proposed as well as the technical and commercial benefits of the solution to the prospective and / or existing customers. Competency with whiteboarding, creating Power Point presentations, and creating graphical solution diagrams are a must. The Solutions Architect is expected to lead and guide technical discussions with a varied audience, from business leaders to technicians.

In addition to attaining the role of trusted technical advisor, this individual must also present and influence the customer perception of US Signal and our value proposition. The Solution Architect is responsible for working well with all groups within US Signal to ensure pre-sales proposals and solutions are delivered to customers within agreed timeframes and meet customer expectations. This position reports to the Manager of Hosting Architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide education to US Signal sales teams, partners, agents and customers on US Signal products and services.
• Lead the technical discussions in customer meetings across multiple levels and disciplines to identify business and technical needs, issues and priorities.
• Serve as a technical leader within the team, staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Develop comprehensive and customized cloud, network, and colocation solutions based on the client's requirements and US Signal service offerings.
• Strong focus on understanding customer and partner challenges, and how they can utilize US Signal services to support their business.
• Drive proposed customer designs through internal channels to ensure timely customer proposal delivery which may include assisting in packaging pricing of solution.
• Provide timely responses to functional and technical elements of customer inquiries, RFIs / RFPs.
• Aid in offering industry expertise and strategic thinking to leadership where it could help drive revenue in the field.
• Partner with internal US Signal departments to offer the best possible customer experience.
• Other projects as assigned by US Signal Management.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout sales territory which may include overnight travel.

Experience and Education :

5 years in a comparable role, showcasing expertise in network and cloud technologies, or proven leadership in guiding an organization's shift from traditional technology procurement to a cloud-based model. Preferable technical background in a Data Center and Cloud Service Provider environment.

Required License (s) / Certifications :

Valid, active driver's license with a good driving record as defined by the Company's current insurance provider.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands :

This position operates in a variety of environments. The majority of the time is spent in a professional office environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment.
