What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billers HMO Collector and Bookkeeper position at US Skilledserve?
· Expertise of different billing systems, including HMO, and Advantage care.
· Complete knowledge of various codes—ICD-9, Procedure, Revenue, Rug Level and Condition
· Understanding contract fundamentals and skilled at negotiation
· Proficient at computer programs—Excel, Word, billing, etc. and the 10-key calculator
· Accurate and detail-oriented
· Present in the office during core 8am-5pm business hours of normal operating work week unless alternate schedule pre-approved by Supervisor.
· Notify Supervisor by phone of absence on a scheduled workday.
· Conduct Account Receivable reviews, monthly to bimonthly, as indicated:
· Advise and support assigned bookkeepers to handle billing questions and problems; correctly adjust claims; cash receipts posting, etc.
· Follow up and collect reimbursement for assigned facilities.
· HMO aging review with collections with supervisor bimonthly.
· Monitor HMO credit balances at assigned facilities on a monthly basis for adjustments/refunds.
· Research and prepare refunds for assigned facilities.
· Assist with information needed for HMO audits.
· Attend workshops/seminars to keep current with regulations, procedures as indicated.
· Must be a team player and work professionally with others
Must be able to lift, push and carry at least 30l

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
