Position Description
U.S. Soccer is looking for a highly motivated Manager of Media Strategy on our Partnership Marketing team to oversee our commercial partner’s digital campaigns. This individual will be responsible for understanding each partner’s goals and objectives and aligning those with existing or new USSF curated content as well as other USSF digital assets (app, website). They will package the digital opportunities to create annual media plans and work very closely with the USSF content team to understand annual plans including content overview, distribution, frequency, and brand inclusion opportunities.
The Manager, Media Strategy will also work closely with USSF’s Media Partners, Warner Brothers Discovery and Telemundo by providing brand updates, communicating new initiatives and media plans as well as act as a thought-partner for packaging opportunities.
Reporting into the Sr. Director of Media Strategy and working closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization, the Manager of Media Strategy will partner with Creative, Marketing, Content and Media teams daily. This person needs to be creative and curious, process driven, organized, and relationship-oriented and have an ability to think and plan strategically in collaboration with others.
Primary Responsibilities
- Co-Leads weekly internal meetings to discuss updates on partner-related content, and acts as a conduit between the partnerships team and the content team
- Package owned and operated content and digital opportunities for partners, works closely with the analytics team to estimate performance leading to valuation of property
- Create and present opportunities showcasing owned and operated content and digital opportunities including estimated impressions, distribution plan, total value and alignment with partner goals and objectives
- Support Warner Brothers Discovery, Telemundo and other official USSF media partners by communicating partner content activations and presenting opportunities for amplification on their channels
- Create, implement, track, analyze, and optimize paid social and digital advertising for partner campaigns
- Provide updates on industry news relating to latest best practices with branded content, including digital and / or social platforms enhancements
- Work closely with Partnership Marketing, Marketing and Content teams during annual planning to provide insight on partner objectives to influence overall USSF plans, and communicate opportunities to partners
- Traffic partner-sponsored ad units to the Digital Properties Team and work with team on final reporting metrics
- Support Partnership Development in communicating content opportunities for prospective partners including vetting ideas with internal stakeholders
- Budget management and oversee performance pacing in partner campaigns
