Position Summary: Reporting to the VP of Raw Sugar Manufacturing, the Reliability Excellence Manager is responsible for ensuring improvement of the reliability of our equipment, operations and processes through the elimination of repetitive failures, technical support of the maintenance function and the management of appropriate Preventive and Predictive Maintenance processes. Act as an advisor to the production departments, providing proactive leadership, direction, single point accountability and technical expertise required to achieve and sustain optimum reliability, maintainability, and useful life for sugar manufacturing assets
Essential Duties:
- Adhere to all Company and other safety, health and environmental protocols and regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery in the plant, prioritizing activities based on operational needs and machine criticality.
- Supervise and lead a team of Reliability Engineers, Reliability Technicians, Vibration Analyst and Non-Destructive Testing Technician, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance to build a highly efficient team. Conduct performance and progressive disciplinary actions with direct reports as needed.
- Develop and implement reliability plans that support ongoing operations and product development.
- Ensure all reliability activities are conducted in compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and environmental policies. Conduct regular safety audits and enforce adherence to safety regulations
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
- Create and manage reliability studies and life data analysis on applicable equipment.
- Ensure the necessary reliability testing is carried out and analyzed.
- Coordinate activities with teams of engineers and other personnel to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could affect plant or business operations.
- Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
- Ensure that all maintenance procedures are safe, efficient, and effective.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs, replacements, inspections, and costs. Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities and equipment status to senior management.
- Communicate effectively with employees to promote a positive work environment while promoting procedures and enforcing Company policies.
- Uses the SAP Maintenance Module on a daily basis, using the Work Order System as the main tool to manage, record and track maintenance activities and personnel.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent experience in a supervisory maintenance role may be considered. - 5 years of experience in Reliability supervision, preferably within industrial operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop personnel
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations relevant to industrial operations.
Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and computer applications. - New hires must pass a drug test and other pre-employment background screening, and successfully complete any required training and orientation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions:
- 80% of the work environment is conducted in an indoor production environment, exposed to heights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, and low lighting while wearing PPE (i.e.: hard hat, goggles, ear plugs, full-body suits, and respirators); working around wet or dripping, moving machinery with sharp edges, reaching above the head while crouching, standing, or laying prone; regularly climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, crawling, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, and walking on uneven ground containing slip and trip hazards.
Will regularly be exposed to caustic chemicals, electronic magnets, and pressurized steam, and will occasionally access enclosed/confined spaces; may be fitted for and wear a respirator. - 20% of the work environment is conducted while seated in an enclosed building with an environmentally controlled atmosphere, facing multiple computer screens containing flashing colored lights, using repetitive motions with computer mouse and keyboards, routinely taking and receiving verbal instructions in person or over the radio.
